Langport Christmas Reindeer

4George secured funding to provide four bespoke willow reindeers as the centrepiece of Langports Christmas decorations. Langport Town Council represents the residents of Langport in South Somerset. It wons sevreal local facilities and provides a range of services for local people.

Support

The Town Council were seeking a replacement for their existing willow reindeers which had come to the end of their lifespan and a project to bring together members of the local community. 4George identified potential funding for the project and worked with local Willow Sculptor Serena de la Hey to deliver the project for Christmas 2016.

Solutions

Funding was secured via BIG Lotterys Celebrate England scheme and included the provision of workshops at the local primary school, youth club and an open community session at the Christmas Market.

Alongside the locally sourced willow the four reindeer has bespoke glass eye and a red nose designed by local glassblower Will Shakspeare, all of which lit up fantastically.

Success

£4498 was secured to run the project which was very well received by local people and businesses.
