4George is very pleased to announce that it has recently started working with Cass+ helping them to secure funds for staffing and ongoing running costs.
Cass+ is an independent charity which provides support and advice to those who are attending Court or tribunal hearings and also to their families.
Operating independently of other agencies their highly trained team are in the best place to offer support and identify effective help for those who need it most, all in total confidence.
Most of the Cass+ team are volunteers and are based in Plymouth and Cornwall. They work with their clients to identify the problems that are most troubling them and then provide effective referrals where they can get support and advice.
They do not diagnose or prescribe, but instead work with the defendants to help seek out the most effective route to solve those issues, their motto being ‘access to answers’.
Currently Cass+ has three paid members of staff who are responsible for recruiting, training and supervising the team of 15 volunteers.
