Too often we forget the personal motivators of why we get into a career or profession and allow the day to day factors stifle motivation. Newtown Primary School in central Exeter was looking for an inspirational thought provoking morning for their INSET day at the start of term. This was not the regular pedagogical training, but an intervention to motivate staff in a profession which is increasingly stressful and demanding

Solution

4George, in association with IAPSS Ltd working as Tailor Made Development, constructed a bespoke programme with a focus on reigniting motivation and supporting staff to become happier in their work through greater personal effectiveness and efficiency.

Success

Staff took part in a fully tailored session, looking at emotional intelligence, personal profiling and revisiting their passions for education. Head teacher Ruth Jones said, ‘Thank you so very much for working with us  yesterday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning and said what a great start to the new year’. Tailor Mad Development have now been booked for a follow up session in September to build on staff development and collaboration.
